Gas electric hybrid car

With the ever increasing prices that are being experienced by the American public at the gas pumps today, consumers have found that they must make every effort to save money and combine trips whenever they can. This fuel based economic burden has caused the American public to form a new view on transportation costs.

While demanding that more economical and efficient automobiles be manufactured, the consumers did not want to have to give up style and elegance in order to save money on transportation budget costs. The public was very attentive when any style of automobile was produced to make sure it met their needs of value and energy savings and provided a trusted convenience that they could enjoy. These vehicles were regularly reviewed for the right price, car size and appearance, and most importantly gas mileage.

Car manufacturers have responded to consumer requests for more economical automobiles, by giving the public the choice to purchase a gas electric hybrid car over the traditionally gas powered engines that have become standard in the automobile industry today. The gas electric hybrid car meets all of the purchasing requirements over a single gas power engine style automobile that are abundant in the car markets today.

There are two different category types of a hybrid car that can provide consumers with the money saving automobile features they want. The categories for this solid hybrid car are a combination of three devices which interact differently when the automobile is a mild hybrid type or considered to be a full hybrid automobile.

Within the three components in each type of hybrid automobile, consumers need to understand that the electric motor, gas powered engine and battery packs all serve a different purpose and work differently in a variety of hybrid car models that are on the market today.

Some of the mild hybrid models rely on the gas powered engines to supply the main push that will set a car into motion. Through this propulsion phase, the hybrid car can capably maintain good speed and only relies on the electric motor when extra power is needed. The electric motor function cannot be a source of power on its own energy source. This mild hybrid type of vehicle requires a pairing of the two power sources in order to function correctly and deliver energy saving features.

The battery is fed by the electric current produced in the electrical motor. The battery also provides a return of power to the electrical motor. These capabilities operate independently of each other, and never at the same time.

The full hybrid car models utilize the gas powered engine features, coupled with the electrical power of the motor and the use of the battery to move the vehicle. This three-fold power source provides a trade off in power sources through each momentum phase that the engine undergoes. The full hybrid car can produce energy and expend energy at the same time, with the electric motor being the sole source of power that moves the car. The hybrid car is later powered through the gas powered motor when the propulsion phase of the electric motor has been met. Under high acceleration needs, such as passing vehicles on the road, both of these power sources work simultaneously when going down the highway. This exchange of power sources saves on fuel costs because the car engine is not being used all of the time to push the car down the highway.
